| Job description This position is to perform consulting, education, and support for IBM Software, specifically using Cognos product family. The work includes understanding customer requirements, design a workable solution, develop the solution, test the solution, until deployment the solution into a workable production environment, and generate relevant documentation The position will serve the IBM client by successfully implementing Cognos Software solutions in a manner that supports Cognos Lab Services profitability and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Essential Job Activities • Analyze Reporting Requirements • Design, Develop, & Implement Cognos Solutions • Establish & Foster Client Relationships • Document and Apply Best Practices • Define Technical Infrastructure • Conduct Project Reviews • Evaluate Sizing & Performance of Cognos Solutions • Multi-platform Installation & Configuration Business Development: • Contribute to proposals and business development as required • Actively maintain project documentation • Internal and Practice Development • Maintain and Upgrade knowledge of Industry, Market & Products/Solutions • Fulfil Administration Requirements • Achieve and Maintain Training and standard global certification requirements • Manage Utilization Targets • Assisting the Cognos Software sales team in identifying additional license opportunities. Experience / Qualifications (including Interpersonal Skills) • Experience and proficiency with the majority of the IBM Cognos software portfolio • An understanding of IBM Information Management family of product is definitely an advantage• Strong technical skill in general, proactive, and able to work under pressure • Advanced oral/verbal Communications & Presentations • Business and Technical Communication Skills • Knowledge sharing techniques • Ability to upsell current engagement and identify new product and service opportunities • Consulting Skills and Collaboration • Ability to collaborate and effectively team with peer levels within the services and sales organization • Effective communication with clients regarding project goals, deliverables, and risks, time frames, expectations about performance • Ability to act independently during the execution of service or business development opportunities • Knowledge and application of professional behavioural characteristics • Ability to work under pressure | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
